Amy Olson was born and raised in North Dakota. After winning the US Girls Junior Amateur in 2009, she played collegiate golf at North Dakota State University. While there Amy won an NCAA record of 20 collegiate events during her career. During that time she represented the USA in the Curtis Cup and University World Golf Championships. She went on to compete on the LPGA Tour for 10 consecutive years. Her best finishes include 4 runner-up finishes, with two of those coming in Major Championships. Amy now lives in Fargo, ND with her husband, Grant, and daughter, Carly.
