Vern Dosch
Former President/CEO NISC

Vern has been married to his wife, Lynne, for 40 years. They have two sons, a daughter, and eight grandchildren. Their youngest son, Jordan, is a Catholic priest serving the Diocese of Bismarck. Vern holds degrees from the University of Mary in Business, Accounting, and a Master's in Management, as well as an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership.

Vern Dosch dedicated 45 years to the Rural Electric and Telecommunication Industry, culminating in his role as President and CEO of the National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) from 2002 to 2020. NISC is a prominent information technology company that develops and supports accounting, billing, and engineering software for over 860 electric cooperatives, telephone companies, municipalities, and broadband providers across all 50 states, American Samoa, Palau, and Canada.

Throughout his career, Vern has served on numerous boards, including CHI St. Alexius Medical Center, University of Mary, Bismarck State College Foundation, Starion Bank, Light of Christ Capital Campaign, God’s Child Project Foundation, Higher Education Roundtable, Capital Grounds Planning Commission, Yellowstone Strategies, The Gaia Home Project, North Dakota Department of Commerce – Legacy Investment for Technology Loan Fund (LIFT) and Missouri Valley United Way.

After retiring from NISC in January 2020, Vern responded to the call in March of the same year to assist the State of North Dakota in developing software to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

In recognition of his significant contributions, Vern was inducted into the National Cooperative Hall of Fame at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, in October 2021.
